PostSubject: Cherry Red XRDT - Only £299 :)   Sat 31 Oct 2009, 16:58

Ideal as cheap runabout or first car.

PLEASE NOTE: Sunstrip has been removed
Mudflaps have been removed

1995 5 Door Cherry Red XRDT
Mileage - 208,000
MOT Until Aug 31 2010
Tax Until Nov 31 2009

D-Turbo interior with Half leather door cards
De-badged
De-wipered rear
15" deep dish style alloy wheels (need spraying or you could sell 'em on :p) - These went on ebay in similar condition for about £180! But I do not know what the make of them are.

I bought it for £400 and had about £400 worth of parts and labour work done to it.

Here's what was done for MOT 2008:
New front Hubs
New front bearings
New flexihose
New brake pipe
New nearside ball joint
New wiper blades (front)
New Brake discs & pads
& a full Service 1200 miles ago.

Here's what was done for MOT 2009 [This Week]:
New offside ball joint
New wiperblades
2 x New front tyres
New Battery
New Alternator

Bad points:
Prior to me buying this car it was sat on a drive for a while and belonged to an elderly couple;
There is some scratches on the drivers door;
Grill has slight crack on edge;
There is a patch on the roof where someone had obviousley tried to touch up the bodywork and messed it up. Could do with being sanded and touched up as it is a slightly darker red;
A Couple of minute dents that are not really noticeable;
Rear o/s pannel has some little dings that aren't that noticable;
Heater Matrix has gone but new one is supplied;
Sunroof leaks not sure if it is the ducts that are blocked or what but cheap and easy fix, will try to sort if I get the time.

Inside nice and clean.
Outside showing it's age but not too bad just needs some TLC.
Where the turbo gauge used to be are a couple of screw holes.
Inside engine bay is average for its age.

Only problems I have had with this car is remote central locking every now and again decides to work after like 5 button presses. But then it will work spot of for a few weeks???

Central locking works a treat always

Starts and runs great I must say, Touch wood she's an oldy but goes well. She is a good run around, good for a project if given a bit of TLC!

She is an ideal car to get you from A to B.

She is fresh with almost New MOT. Ready for another year of driving!

NOTE: Sunstrip and Mud Flaps Have Been Removed. Center Console Has Been Put Back In Along With Gaitor. Rear light tints can be removed with sandpaper and white spirit :p
