i had it looked at by a mate off mine and he said the beraings are nakard and to get a new torsion bar what you thinks. front hub got play in it and it lookes like it has had a new bearing in it

no bearings on a torsion bar, bearings on the trailer arms? they arent a bad job to do i did them on my 106 rallye took 2 of us a day only cos the bars were seized solid

As above there is not alot that can go wrong with the torsion bars, they are just a solid bar of metal Smile

I will shortly have for sale 2 complete VTS suspension struts, will let you know

only reason i have ever replaced a bar is to go bigger

what could be the problem with the car then this bloke said beam bearings gone there is alot of play on the o/s back wheel

yeah you'd need to replace your beam bearings not the bars

think i paid about £40 for a side for the bearings as long as the shaft aint fucked its just pull old out and put new on

how can i tell if shaft fucked. would it be cheaper to buy the complete shaft

not sure on shaft cost, only way you'll know is when the bearing is removed, you could buy another beam for £50ish but 2-3 months and that could be the same
