my 306 Empty my 306

Post by toby219 Mon 05 Jan 2009, 01:50

Hi All

Sorry it's taken me a while to post on here again, my PC was busted so have been using my phone for internet. Anyway at last here are some Pic's of my car.

my 306 NewCarPic
my 306 NewCarPic1
my 306 NewCarPic2
my 306 NewCarPic3

Sorry these are the best i got at the moment as i lost all my pictures when my pc harddrive packed in.

Unfortunatly work is on hold until i manage to get a new engine for it as my thought it would be a good idea on new years day to put a piston through the block Sad Sad If anyone know's of a engine for sale 1.9 dturbo pls get in touch asap.

When it is sorted i have a set of bilsten shocks and 45mm drop springs, so once the engine is sorted i will be lowering the front then getting the back gone.

Now the cars back on the road i thought i would share my plan's for the car.
1st off im going the be lowering the front, i have a set of bilsten shocks and 45ml drop spring but i want to get the top steering mount and bearing so that while its off i can change it all.
2nd on my list i will be getting the back lower about the same.
3rd is to get a fmic set up and then re-tune.
4th sort the body work but im not sure what direction im going to take on this yet.

Anyway any advice and help would be appreshiated, and i will keep thios thread updated with my progres.

Thanks

Looks very nice Smile

Just curious, where did you get the longlife exhaust from?

I'm looking to get one, maybe a straight through, when i get my 306 soon. Some people have mentioned theres a longlife garage down cardiff bay?

Longlife used to be in Cardiff but I noticed the last time I was passing there that the unit is now empty. Worrying for my lifetime warranty Shocked I drove round there and found the "We have moved..." poster Smile .

Mine cost about £300 it's a straight though with decat. It would have been cheaper but I paid a bit more coz of the tail pipe I chose. I had 10% off with club306 discount.

Great stuff cheers.

Well I'll be getting a HDi soon and the cat/particle filter comes off with the exhaust so a straight through will save me the de-cat plus it should still pass the MOT.

Lol who's axle and wheres my credit?!?! You can see me running out of the first picture actually...
Looks so much better now though, handles like a dream no body-roll at all any more!
Also you've got those wheels on there now and the half smoked rear lights, really coming along well.

Rigth'o the car seems to have settled now, and i got to say the more i dive it the more impressed i am with the grip and handling, However i do have a small issue. Speed hump are proving a problam and also when i go in the car park at work it ok but when i go out there is a dip in the road. Went to go out of work today nice and slow out the exit and off came the splitter. So i now have a choice to make, keep the splitter and not use the car pk in work, or do i lose the splitter.

haha far from a chav mate... when a car is low usually you drive slower... hence the term low and slow.
