A car
Something rubbish, doesnt even have to start, must be less than £100 and possible to get to Bridgend
Need to put it on my drive untill my no claims finish and then i can send it off for scrap.
Preferably a 1.0/1.1/1.5D/Dturbo/1.4 etc etc

Re: A car
Yeh, we went to one today that looked like a scarp yard, asked the guy for a car for £99 - he told me they dont do them any moe, cheapest he could do me was £700 and we're talking proper bangers here.
Auction had one for £175 for an old 1.2 clio, or £99 but that was a rover 820i.
In the end had a chat with a guy up norh and im currently insuring a 1991 Rover mini 1.3 Currently has no engine so i dont think im going to get into any problems with claiming.

Re: A car
i can get you a 1.7td escort for 300 quid moted till october runs ok just going in to get a new wishbone and spring ! no tax though
Re: A car
Doesnt even need either of those things, ive got it sorted now though by insuring a mini up north... although if you have a 106/3 door 306 shell lying around that originally had a smaller engine for the 106 or a 1.8/Diesel engine in the 306 and want to let it go for less than £100
Re: A car
Lol, I was wondering how you were going to fit in a Mini, let alone drive it. Ollie has explained though and I think we need a picture of you in it though. Just to see if the mental image is accurate...

Re: A car
Haha, he doesnt say whats wrong with it though, and if its MOT fail could need a hell of a lot of work, i wish i left the old one on my drive so i could swap over all the working parts that had because it left with almost brand new wishbones and ball joints. Mileage is high as well so would probably need a new one putting in and i'm not driving another Dturbo if i can help it... diesel - petrol sounds like a bit of a fun summer challenge though
Re: A car
Depends what money you got to play with, me and geth were talkin last night about a winter project this year.. must be this sunny weather going to all of our heads

Re: A car
At the moment i have no money but if i could get hold of a gti thats had a serious rear ender and something thats got some minor front end damage, with some help off the whole forum could be a good fun project.
Re: A car
How bad is it Alex?
Personally i wouldnt bother if its seriously bent, they never drive right after

Re: A car
Its an idea at the moment and i doubt it would ever happen to be honest. But maybe when ive got a job i might keep an eye out for a cat C and a wrecked donor car.
Re: A car
i know for a 51 plate suzuki for £320 needs an engine which i've seen 1 for £250 delivered on ebay
Re: A car
if i couldnt tempt him with a working car for 300 smackers dont think a bust up one will really you sure you dont want me to swing by and get some snapps when it comes back from having its wishbones dont al ?
Re: A car
Could do i suppose Paul, if the guy wants to take a swap for a load of 306 parts i have cluttering up my garage then i would have it off him.
