Project xsi-6 2010 new look Empty Project xsi-6 2010 new look

Post by Simon Tue 05 Oct 2010, 04:40

Well for a while now i've wanted to change the dated look of the xsi-6 but i've been putting it off till the Rallye is finished, but as i may be rebuilding the rallye's engine or buying an already high boosted lump the rallye will be staying off the road till the new year, cos of this i'm now getting on with the new look

Started with some black masks that have been sat in the shed over a year Laughing

Its a start my dad is collecting a standard rear bumper on his way home from work tonight, i've already got a standard smoothed front and i've also got a standard boot lid so can have a standard spoiler

I find spending money on the bodywork painful, when i think of all the nicer goodies than make it faster or handle better Sad

Is it just me Smile

How is the arch rolling going? Is the 306 going to get some super wide arches Smile

gonna sell it all on,

reason

i've got to use my ncb for my rallye and insurance for the xsi as a std car with 0ncb is £550 or £1100 as a modified car so everything going back std so i can afford to keep it as a 2nd car

I've seen the arch rolling done with a baseball bat Smile

They placed it at the back of the wheel/arch, then drove the car forward Smile

Worked a treat too!

The car went 'pure white' when i painted it went to the local ici dealer and told them i want the whitest white possible and they gave me a pot without anything added to the white shade they buy in, on their chart they say its 42 shade lighter Smile

in that pic the difference is plain bianca looks cream

The bianca does look more creamy, but I seen a poor 106 rallye resprayed in cream Sad

Horrible!

I think you need a white 306 rallye parked next it for a full comparison though, wink wink :p

Yeah sort of, i'm making it more drivable as an every day car so decided on standard bumpers, so had to get standard boot to be able to remove the spoiler and as it will look standard smoothed i thought a bright set of wheels would make it Smile
