Re: help please!!!
yes yes yes!
this will make your 206 look like a 1.1 with the power to weight difference!
150 in a 106 is quick but 187 is gonna be silly!!!

Re: help please!!!
yeah 106 handles great compared to a 206, its 300kg lighter with only 2bhp less mojor fun cars my 106 only had 110bhp and that was great
Re: help please!!!
out of the 2 the spec on the gti is much better, not just the engine and engine modds, the gti has much better spec of seats and cage also its got carbon so is going to be lighter, having said that theres not over £2k extra mods on it and when you think about it more my 306 rallye with the supercharged engine coilovers team dynamic wheels cage bucket etc etc has cost me under £5k and will have about the same power to weight as the gti, im sure you could build 1 for not much more than what that guy is wanting (gti) and it will be your car
Re: help please!!!
why not go this route
https://swfco.forumotion.net/for-sale-f2/205-19-gti-t885.htm
with a gti-6 engine power to weight will be up around that gti mark for less than £2k

Re: help please!!!
Personally i'd steer clear of buying the fully modded all singing dancing GTi, sure it's all been done, but has it been done properlly? not only that the guy claims to be taking it to 8K RPM+
i wouldn't want to buy an engine that's been pushed hard, it's obviously been built for track fun and will have been treated as such. Plus what would your insurance say? Are the carbon bits any good or are they the spoox parts? It's a sunroof model
Like simon says, buy yourself a nice sensible gti and spec it up yourself. Oh and starting from a lower spec might not be a bad thing, what with that added power to weight ratio, don't want you doing more fencing

Re: help please!!!
well i dont know why but i really want a 106 gti in black. what sort of performance mods could i do for 2.5k??
Re: help please!!!
For 2.5k you could build a throttle bodied engined beaut. Me and my mate spent about £3.5 doing this baby:
http://om-tuning.co.uk/images/106/car.jpg
Engine spec on that was 160+ bhp (never rolling roaded) using throttle bodies and cams, similar build to the yellow gti, but with uprating the bottom end as well.

Re: help please!!!
yeah i like the look of the 106 only it can only have the tu engine in it without major work which means big money to get good power, thats why i sugested the 205 its slightly heavier but can have an xu lump so gti/mi16 goes straight in and for less than £2k (buying car engine and fitting) you got a 180+ bhp/tonne car
Re: help please!!!
ye but i love the 106s plus if i think if i got a 106 cheap id have more to spend on it
Re: help please!!!
Yeah mate, got millions more pics and some vids of it upsetting some major stuff on track. The brakes are Tar-OX 4/6pot calippers, not sure on the disk and hubs, will ask my mate later what they were again.

Re: help please!!!
Yep, 16" wheels, hell of a quick car, seriously underestimated by far too much at track-days ever seen a porker 997 taken on the outside by a little town car?
Re: help please!!!
best thing i saw at track, was last french car show someone thought they would bring there evo8 and put it on track with a load of 106s so as you'd expect it was passing 2-3 each lap then across the way you could see ecosse warming the 306 up out they came 3 laps and the 306 had caught it he stayed behind the evo all lap then coming round to the straight (where everyone was watching) he then floored it passed the evo following lap evo went it to pits and fooked off
