front mount inlet manifold adapter/fitment

Post by drako on Sun 11 Jul 2010, 10:56

hey guys iv got a 1998 dturbo. iv been looking around for months for a inlet manifold piece that comes of the inlet for a fmic! iv got the intercooler and all the pipes and hoses but trying to find this fitment is proven to be a nightmare! i was tempted to go to an ally welder but people were saying it would cost a bomb?! anyone know of anything? or at least some good suggestions from people familiar with front mounts?

oh and also looking for a ph3/gti6 front bumper in blaze yellow if possible but wouldnt matter if it was another colour.

and one more thing...anyone know where i can pick a couple of swfco stickers?

cheers

Not sure where you can get the parts but the stickers can be had by clicking the "buy it now" button up there on the right, also gives you access to more of the forum.
Have you tried any welders/fabricators, you may be surprised.

shouldnt cost to much for a fabricator to do. im not sure what my boss charges probably £20-£30 an hour plus materials. ally can be a bastard to weld though, needs to be really clean to get a good weld, so make sure they know what they are doing

or use a 405dt/xsantia manifold, pipe comes out the center. I used 1 on mine, looks good too, pipe work to turbo is tricky but do-able.
