my old 309 gti

this was how it was last time i saw it

where did you last see this car cos I took those photos after rebuilding it, when I went to sell it!

i last saw it at avf just before mike's sister bought, i came across those pics on a pug site small world

i was told on the 309 forum that it was seen on the m5 by birmingham about 10-12 months back??

I checked the car on the insurance and DVLA database about 6 months ago it was sorn and no longer insured!

cool so its still going....i have pics of it the first time i got it and lots of when it was finished so if eneyone wonts to see? if i could get eneythink back it would be the kit and seats.

seats only cost me £350 to retrim had to do it as the original cloth was very thin, i also spent a lot on the engine all lightened etc

when i bought it black, then i painted a yellow band around the bumpers and door panels, then the whole car went yellow, then rover amranth purple, then subaru mica blue, then the white so the car is prob 2 inches wider now

i had to change eveythink runing gear wise but the engine was good but with the 1.6 box i think i got about 90 max?good fun tho.

yeah i owned the car for almost 7 years bought it in 1998 from a guy in newport who didnt really do much with it, the previous owner was a guy from tenby a coper i only found this out 1 night when i got pulled he wanted to see if the engine was still in it, had a longmans at that time

yeah when i got rid the gears were hit or miss dont know how many times i went from 4th to 3rd

iy i was on the moterway and every time i prest it kept shooting of ahead.i just wonted to go

at 1 time i had the gti-6 box sat there waiting to go in, i just didnt get round to it

funny realy when i just got it i put 13inch just to get it home that was the funnist time as i was in 3erd giving it some stick.

ive got a minter now in red with a 2L turbo xu10 lump and a gti6 box goes lick stink

i just bought a red 1 but im gonna keep that totally original, gonna modd the white 309
