Its so good having it back, spent the morning fitting a boost gauge and re-wiring the stereo after the c*nts who stole the last one cut the wires to get it out

It feels a lot stronger than it did before, theres definatly a better pull to it, wouldnt say any noticeable improvements on aceleration though. Theres a rattle coming from the exhaust when i idle which im going to have a look at tomorrow and the brakes are making a funny noise but it seems to be getting better!

Now to get this bosch pump fitted and a tune done Very Happy

Total summary of yesterdays work

Boost gauge
On the road again! IMG0064A

Re-wired the stereo after the cnuts who stole the old one cut the wires
On the road again! IMG0065A

Broke my garage door
On the road again! IMG0063A

Today was less productive after i failed to get my bumper off to coat in black hammerite as its starting to go rusty at the back, but i did manage to clear out the boot, fix the garage door, take the soundproofing out from under the carpet in the boot.

Tomorrow will be more work spent on trying to get this bumper off, its just the screw at the bottom in the middle just will not undo! so might cut the bracket and tape it back together, will be painting the bonnet badge as well...might even clean the car, including the engine bay with some break clener, ive got an oil catch tank knocking about as well, might wait till ive moved the batery into the boot before i put that in its place (no real reason for moving the battery to the boot or the oil catch tank but i get bored easily)

Cant edit that post for some reason? I meant coat my towing eye in hammerite, not the whole bumper

Past couple of days ive been spraying, managed to do the badge on the front
On the road again! PICT0470

And tried doing the door handles, cocked up the back two by using to high grit sandpaper while i was trying to smooth them out so there not very good, and i chipped one of the front ones while i was putting it back in so ive got to re-do 3 of them come tomorrow, here are a couple of pictures, one of the best and one of the worst ones.

On the road again! PICT0471

On the road again! PICT0472

Then i decided to get the boot trim done...so knocked up a massive spray booth and some string to create this

On the road again! PICT0467

Then decided i wanted to re-do the mirror cap as the laquer had started to go all funny so made a partition in the spray booth

On the road again! PICT0473

Thats the mirror cap with all of the laquer taken off and quite a bit of the paint with a few coats of primer over the top.

Ive been told to get depo ones to DIY but im afraid i might break them as im not to sure which bits to paint, i sorta prefer the look of halo's as well so might get a set of them, bit steep at about £120 a set though

Yeh thats what im not to sure about, ah well those are going to be later on...first ive got to decide what to do about my wheel situation, the swallows ive got now are really letting the car down but ive just put some new part worns on them...so im a bit iffy as what to do.

Todays progress - gave myself emphysema / bronchitus / Lung cancer after respraying the back handles, boot trim and mirror cap from about half 6 till about now without a face mask in my garage, leaving them overnight to dry and going to refit tomorrow, would have re-done the fronts tonight as well but im helping my mate move house tomorrow afternoon and im not to confident about re-fitting all four handles in an hour or two.

Cheers mate, yeh i hope it makes the car look better afterwards because ive reduced my lifespan by about 2 years!

The hard bit to do is gonna be the rub strips im not looking forward to doing them all and id rather wait untill i could get some ph3 ones but the car will look silly having black handles, badge and boot trim but off black rub strips...saying that the bumpers are still gonna be off black untill i can get hold of ph3 bumpers...hmm ill see how i feel next weekend

Swallows are better than steelies but a set of satin black lazers or cyclones would be even better again...
