What I'm after is a Saxo vts or a 106 gti engine or even a 306 gti-6 engine picking up my new project next week hopefully just want to get the ball rolling only 6 months till fcs lol

What you bought/buying a 306 engine in a 106/saxo would be a mamouth task

106 gti it don't have to be a 306 engine a vts or gti engine will do for now

has the car got an engine in now, if so whats the problem with it? and 306 engine needs hell of alot of work to fit in.

just so u know there's a engine in pick up spares swansea, its on my old xsara vtr ths same wngine as saxo vts, let me know if u need any other details

The engine in it is just a high miler so wanted to change it

As long as it runs use and abuse it mileage is just number displayed on the dash

As above, if it aint broke dont fix it.

If you wanted a low mileage lump ready though, get the 1.6 16v from the newer Peugeots/Citroens TU5JP4 lump.

You have to swap a few bits over from your GTi to get the best out of it, such as cams, inlet, sensors. But they have larger valves than the old 16v lump.

Freddy made 153bhp on the rollers with the mix n match 1.6 16v parts

the one i mentioned is in a 51 xsara 1.6 16v vtr with under 60k on it, was well looked after but needed a gearbox and a rear beam so i scraped it
