Right ive got almost everything together to fit the fmic on the car(pump and injectors will be going on a later date as i will be rolling roading it after each modification(friend of mine will hopefully have his RR up and running early next year,so will be cheap)
Re: Bens fmic hdi build
having seen a few fmic set ups imploding i'll be doing mine in solid (well as much as i can)
Re: Bens fmic hdi build
solid is much better ben!! otherwise they will be blowing off all the time!
Mike had a grey hdi 5dr from swansea a few years back and was one the 1st to have a fmic hdi running around 145bhp and with a added chip 160bhp and he suffered from blowing the hoses due to the boost presure it was running!!
Speak to phil mate he will make pipes for you!!!

Re: Bens fmic hdi build
I used 6 gates rubber pipes with 90degree bends, cut them down so i had a short bend sections, then cut up a 6ft steel tube at the right lenths, (used 5ft altogether) painted it red and stuck it all in. i did later take it all out and weld short lines on the bottom of the pips to act as a lip to stop the pipes blowing off, works great!
