French Car show Opinions?

How was your day today?

I was a bit disapointed to be fair, same cars that were there last year, not a lot really going on in the main show arena, naff all trader stands, marks xsara only went up and down the straight a few times, i was hoping for more of a lap or two, rather than watching the painfully slow 206 one

On the up-side no dirt track, and yet again - didn't take my car.

i didn,t go this year but went the two previous years and found it boring and said i wouldn,t go again. in my opinion one of the best shows around is the world series by Renault you get free tickets and loads going on for the full weekend this will be my fourth year can't wait,

When I spoke to Mark he was saying he wanted to put on more of a display (he joked about taking the car onto the grass to see what they'd say) and I get what you mean about the trade area, there wasn't a lot there. I think if the rally area was there this year there would have been very few complaints as the wind was blowing in the other direction. I had a good time even though there wasn't much to see after watching the bike display and the stunt show.

i got to say each year doesnt match the first 1 i went to, but its still a good day out

crap didnt seem half as busy or good as last years.... as said before there was a lack of trader stands.....might get 1 for next year.. wind deflectors for the win

asc-306 is me the guy who owns the car lol the girls is my gf she likes to sit in the drivers seat at shows so people think its her car lol

its 4 hours 35mins from Rockingham back to Cornwall, but stopped a few times for food and stuff lol so didnt get back untill 11:00 lol
how far is it for you guys?

For us coming back to Carmarthen took 3 1/2 hours. No stops.

I really enjoyed it this year - my car was on the streamline carbon stand as their demo megane so made it better for me I guess.
I know the lads that put the show on and they explained to me that it is so difficult to get traders to attend as for some reason companies like KW, Milltek etc dont think there is enough of a following for french cars etc so dont bother attending - really annoys me as they will happily attend any crappy Vauxhall shows etc
I guess though to be fair PFC mag went under due to a lack of sales so I guess they might have a point when you consider there are 2 or 3 different vauxhall magazines out there.
Credit Crunch didnt help as well I guess - personally thought there were more traders there this year than last year or at least there was more stuff to buy on the spot (stickers, Dump valves etc) - K-Tec racing didnt bother attending and basically being Renaults only UK tuning company I thought that was a big let down - they did send one of their cars with the lads from Streamline - a yellow RS250 which was parked next to my R26 all day
Will be going again next year without a doubt - hopefully will be bigger and better
