About 4 weeks ago i was at the auctions and noticed a very tired looking 306 DTurbo with next to no T+T on it looking very sorry for itself.

Brilliant i though, time for a project, because the car had such a little amount of MOT left, i booked it in to see what i had bought for my little bit of money, at this point after driving it to my little workshop it was obvious that i had quiet alot of work to do.

- The handbreak was not holding
- Leaky Radiator
- Noisy injectors
- Syncro on 3rd and 4rd both very very weak

But overal i must say its probably the most free revving dt i have ever driven and it brought me back a few years after drving it.

So MOT time.. FAIL

Turns out that one of the handbrake cables had snapped and been cut off by a previous owner. Also a worn N/S bottom ball joint. A few days later and £20... PASS

With 13 months ticket on it if i want to use it at any point i can!

Just a few starting point pictures

As some of you may noticed i have been sorting out bits a peices for the car over the last bit asking around for parts etc

Plans :-

- Lower mileage 405 1.9 td engine already running a bosch pump which will be freshened up before fitting
- Lower mileage known good gearbox with new clutch
- Xantia inlet manifold and FMIC kit using a slightly bigger intercooler
- Phase 3 front and rear ends, skirts wheels etc
- Sparco Evo seats and harnesses (just because i have them lying about)
- Light stage one tune just to help it keep up with modern day traffic
- Depending on what i got on at the time and how bored i am, potensial repaint in a new colour?
- Freshed up the front suspension, drop links, bottom bushes, top mounts etc
- Rear beam mounts
- Simple sound system, nothing to flashy just stuff i have lying about

The main aim of this car is to be used as a daily runabout that i would be proud to be seen in!

Yea hopefully they will bring it up to date, i really dont no what pug were thinking with the phase 2, just doesnt have the purposeful look that the phase 1 + 3 had!
