Forgot it was your birthday only realised when i got home

I mounted the front Calipers today to trial fit the wheels to check for clearance



They do stick out a bit (disc is thick) so may have to stick the spacers in the lathe and rip them down a bit




But there is plenty of room behind the wheel

looking good, u heard it run yet????

nope still waiting on the dash to complete the loom

Small update

After sorting out a bad earth between started and gear box thanks to furred up alloy then finding the crank sensor wasn't switching the multi relay on, the engine finally fired up

All sounds good but i do have a boost leak (old intercooler set up) and a coolant leak on the bulkhead

Thats a relief then

going to take it out of the shed in a week or 2 and park it up to get on with jobs on the other 3

Fitted the new rad and plumbed up the intercooler



Front end all on for the first time

looking really good now how much is left to do?

Fit harnesses (must get around to doing that this time )
Passenger seat
Pedals (sparco covers)
Gear knob
Fit short shift (the type that is at the bottom of the lever)
Fit door Cards
Clip dash loom up
Fill gear box
Pipe up the brake circuit
Fit front caliper slider pins
Fit the roller bearing wishbones (after fitting new genuine pugs 1 5 months ago)
1 clamp on the intercooler pipework needs tightening (on a lift i cant get it on floor)
Rad pipe (the small 1 half way up rad) needs re routing the other side of boost pipe i'll aldo do that on the lift
Tracking
2 new tyres for road wheels
a fooking good clean and some petrol so i can see the light at the end of this very long tunnel

Thats just a good weekends work

Cant wait to see this on the road, it looks so good now!

Are you putting Rallye decals on it?

Yeah a good few evenings and weekends should see this done

i have 2 full graphic sets so 1 will find its way on to it

i was in the area about couple of hours ago so called into the shed for a natter but u wasnt there.
was passing from milford so thought id call in.

I do a 40 hour week now so only at the shed at weekends now

ahh thats ok i was just passing anyhoo

Today

Called for some petrol as i thought the Rallye was low on fuel, opened the shed put the fuel in turned it over and it fired then cut out straight away, turned ignition off then back on and the pump went for a while (longer than normal) primming up, turn over and it would fire on first turn but not go again, i worked out that it was only firing on what fuel was in the rail and no fuel was being pumped when engine was turning, so pulled the crank sensor out cleaned and tested it all working fine, still problem not solved, pulled the multi relay off cleaned that and put it back on, this time it run for longer, so started thinking there is a fault with that relay so decided to swap it on to the white 306 and test as i reached to get the relay i noticed ......













.........the fucking fuel shut off bracket was broken and the unit was resting down on the gear linkage pulled it up pushed the button turned the key and it run sweet as
