Lift booked for Friday to pipe up brakes (no lines on the car) hopefully get chance to solder fan wiring loom, fill gear box, re route a rad hose and tighten a boost clamp while in the air then all it needs is tracking done

Going through a few checks this afternoon, found no brake or reverse lights managed to get the brake switch out tested it and its working fine so lost the feed somewhere, it was working before i tightened the dash in to place so maybe its pulled on something

Fitted a new brake light switch tonight which was a bit of a fidle but after doing it i still had enough light to drive it out side and give a quick wash

no got a day off Friday to do brakes then its just a few little things for MOT

Bet it will be a big relief when you can finally put some miles on it.

My XSi is soo nearly there, also just waiting on brake lines for mot!

Yeah driving it round to the garage tonight was so nice, i think the day it has tax and MOT i'll use a tank of fuel

I'm already planning on taking it back off the road next winter

Yeah will be having some fun in it over summer time whilst doing a few jobs on the xsi-6

Things didnt exactly go to plan today, first went to pipe up the rear to find the beam i've used is phase 2 which has the load compensating valve (which im not using) but as the car is phase 3 it doesnt have the valve just a bracket on the beam mount, so i had to make a mount for my pipe work, piped all 4 calipers up then went to bleed system started at the passenger rear (furthest from master cylinder) and the nipple just broke off, removed caliper drilled it out to 7.2mm and threaded it to M8 and fitted a nipple off a spare front caliper i had, went to the drivers rear and the same thing happened did the same with that caliper re fitted it, shut the doors and headed home

In the morning i'll be welding on the made up bracket and bleeding the system im just hoping the front nipples are ok

Happended to me twice, both front calipers.

Its just testing you to make sure your worthy of driving it

Today a nipple on the fronts broke, so i drilled that out stuck a ball bearing in and a bolt

Left it in the garage and went to watch the rugby

Gave the car its first waxing this evening
