removed the s/c'd engine from the gti-6 today hopfully get it on the engine stand tomorrow so pics will be uploaded tomorrow Smile

maybe my ideas have run away with a bit Smile

but i have just agree'd a price on a 2nd hand dp engineering welders nightmare with t3 Smile

i plan on fitting the s/c'd lump in the car while re building the bottom end of my spare gti-6 engine and then run it in the same theory as the golf gt s/c to give boost from low down and the turbo to take over for the higher end Smile

well its all plans and dreams at the moment but if it happens i think i'll have to source an mi16x4 running gear prop and rear axle

I may know of a spare mi16x4 setup. Also i did a fair bit on dual boosting when i was working for Denso, it's a bitch to get it setup right, but when it is, it's damn sweet.

I've e-mailed the guy with the drivetrain to see how much he wants for it and if he still has it, was looking at it before i found my complete car. You'll deffo need a new ECU. Might have to pick your brains if you go down the 4x4 route, problems i can see at the moment are modding the rear arches and boot floor to accomodate bits. When i asked a local company they said i would need an entire new tunnel, boot floor and suspension turrets. Oh and the 205 rally car was dual charged, little fact most don't know Smile

thought the 205 rally car only had a Garrett Turbo and the lancia s4 had the abarth supercharger and kkk turbo

si, yeah, but if it's a case of doing the tunnel and the boot floor, that's alot of the strength in the car there being messed with, the wrong person could seriously warp the shell. Guess the ideal would be having a cage fitted then removing the tunnel and building the new one.

found it easier to just warm the sound deadning and not melt it as it goes a mess when it melts

On the subject of the sound deadening material, petrol is good for cleaning up the messy surface left behind.
