The black one
Following from the blue one, which i swapped with a guy in Derby.
For the red one, which in its finest hour looked like this
And was reduced to this after two engines, a large MOT repair list, loosing my job and giving up all hope with peugeots
Plus i had this one while i owned the red one
Which i bought to break then after some trouble with the police i sold on for about as much as i bought it for.
The red one now sits in a cube, the light blue one probably isn't far off and the first blue one is sat in a garage with no engine being turned into a turbo'd Gti up north.
Then after having no car for a month i bought a piece of S**T daewoo which returned 180 miles to a 60 liter tank, i needed something a bit more economical to run and this came up down the road - they bought the daewoo off me for £300 (I bought it for £290) and i got this. I thought the bodywork was a little bit better than it is but it runs spot on, doesn't skip a beat, glowplugs need doing and it needs a good service but it runs better than anything i've ever had before.
And here is the 4th 306 by the age of 20 in all of its black phase one dirty derv glory
Very minimal roof rust compared to some, only really took the paint off no real penitration
Scratched door
Rust above the wheel arch...the most annoying part - again no real pnitration just bubbled the paint enough to enough the crap out of me
And before Welsh_Ben tries selling me headlight protectors
Or wind deflectors
And just admire the beige...seriously it grows on you...
And a half decent photo
And another
If anyone can tell me who Linden is...
That is my peugeot story!

Re: The black one
Right i've decided to get this up and running as well as a ph1 306 should do! Right now its a bag of sh*te. I would get something better and newer and i will probably spend about as much getting this up to scratch but ah balls to it, i know my budget and i'm sticking to it!
As of this moment in time to get it through the MOT in mid next year it is going to need quite a bit doing to it and no money will be spent on pure mods until i get all of these bits
New front brake discs and pads (s16 ones sat in my boot)
Wishbones (On order along with front bushes)
Drop links (On order)
Ball joints
Front Shocks
Springs (Dont NEED them but as i'm replacing everything else is that region)
Suspension top mount
Rear Beam
Rear Shocks
Sort fuel leak (Injector seals waiting to be fitted)
Sort oil leak (New breather pipe waiting to be fitted)
New Glo-plugs
Oil change
Gearbox oil change (Sat in boot waiting to go in)
Brake fluid change
Coolant change
New windscreen or if possible get the scratches polished out of mine
Washer Jets
Windscreen wipers
Dash bulbs
Quite a big list but i'm gonna get it done! This is just to help me keep on top of things and keep a track of how its going, so not the most interesting of all projects i will be honest.

Maybe... i'm thinking i'll get this one perfect and then if i go for anything petrol i may as well do it properly and get a gti-6. To be honest ive taken quite a liking to 172's right now, but i'm gonna wait for a bit to get one
Re: The black one
Let me know if u need anything, i'm sure i have a nice black dash you can have for free, i was gonna chuck it out, vents and glove boxes too.

Re: The black one
I won't have it off you, cheers though Mark. If i chanaged the dash i would need to change the carpets, roof liner, pillars, door cards, seats, parcel shelf, steering wheel, centre console, gearstick gator, handbrake surround
And i quite like the beige now, it stops the car getting too warm.

Big thanks to Dan today for giving me a hand with the brakes, the old ones wern't as bad as i thought and to be fair everything else looks alright, its just as the shocks are pissing out oil it's making everything else feel quite bad so those are next on the list to get
Turns out my glow plug problem was as i suspected, the nut wasn't done up properly! Starts a lot easier now.
Injector leak wasn't quite do-able as we lacked the right socket so i'm going to have a word with toby and see if i can get that done soon. Oil leak we didn't bother with as it looks like a right pain in the arse job to do and it was getting late so i left that and will do that another day.
Garbox oil was funny, we couldn't find the drain plug...anyone care to enlighten us on that? We found the fill plug but the bolt we thought was the drain plug didn't let any oil out of it.
Next up on the list then is shock and wishbone change (Possibly springs, depends on how much money i have, with christmas round the corner, its not looking likely!)
Re: The black one
pretty sure the drain plug is on the end of the gearbox, under the wheelarch is the easy way in. it's the biggest nut bottom right hand side.

Re: The black one
alex - tom the guy who bought my cyclones off me is selling his springs for £40 been on car a week 40mm spax
Re: The black one
Cheers Mark, is that the 19mm nut? I'll have a good look this weekend for it as i've already got the box oil.
I would Ben but £40 is about the going rate for Lowering springs any time of the year and as its coming up to christmas i am going to have to be tighter than usual, my car stuff portion of my pay is going to be spent on presents next month.

Re: The black one
i got some engine oil for £5 if you want it.yea jsut thought id let you know bout the springs anyway
Re: The black one
my mistake, the hole on the side 19mm is the fill point, there should be a drain on the bottom of the diff houseing.
should look similliar to this.
