Thanks to klee for lending the trade plates from work earlier and driving the rallye to the shed

Will start the big strip down in the morning lots of pics from now on

this is how the car looked this morning when i turned up



tried out my new 'palmer' style bonnet struts



then started to strip

dash out



front end stripped


rear end stripped


removed all sound deadning since pics too also got the engine ready to come out, just need to drain box remove shafts exhaust a power stearing pipe:)

hopefully get a chance to work on it on Monday get engine out and remove the screen then drill out some brackets that arent needed now and its ready for the cage

Lots of surface rust in that engine bay? Rallyes seem quiet bad for it from what i've seen

well the shell is 1994 phase1 so not as bad as i'd have thought but yeah there is a bit

well the door cards came 1 day last week but i put them to 1 side as i was busy, decided to open them today to check them over only to find the rear drivers 1 quite badly scratched so i've had to file a paypal complaint, is it just me or has Ebay got really bad the last few months

this will be the 6th case i've filed since xmas

Hybrid rear anti-roll bar arrived this morning

Paid the deposit on the Cage so it will be going over in 2-3 weeks for that the be made

and my solid rear beam mounts arrived today


not much left to buy now

Just gotta bolt it all together now

How much did the solid rear beam mount set you back?

rear beam mounts were a steal guy bought them 2 years ago for £185 too busy to fit them so put them in the cupboard then advertised them for £120 delivered 12mins latter the cash was in his bank

Oh yeah another update the door cards came back with 1 having a scratch, its something i'd live with but had i know i probably wouldnt have paid £114 for them so opened a dispute with paypal asked for a part refund of £35 as 1 was damaged, got a call from ebay saying as i've been a good customer they would give me the refund so door cards ended up costing £79

come on now simon you got a few weeks to get this all sorted and running perfectly for fcs lol

it will still be having the cage fitted, tbh i think FCS2010 is the aim

good project would be one finished in time for the upcoming event no matter how close it is lol

took the doors off today and removed some un-needed brackets just got to remove the windscreen adhesive around the opening now, gonna call in with Rich on Friday to see if he's going to take it over for the cage next week or the week after
